Devin Haney is an American boxer. He began his amateur career undefeated and won the Youth World Championships, the youngest ever boxer to accomplish that feat.

Devin who is also known as ‘The Dream’ was born on November 17, 1998, in San Francisco, California but was raised in Oakland. His father, William Haney who is a trainer and boxing manager taught him to fight from an early age. Devin and his father moved to Las Vegas when he was only 7 years old. Upon arriving there, he caught the eye of Floyd Mayweather Sr. who trained him later.
Devin who idolizes Floyd Mayweather as his mentor turned professional at the age of 16. Before that, he had a magnificent amateur career, becoming a national champion 7 times, recording 130 wins and only 8 losses in the process.
After turning professional, he went to Mexico to start fighting since he was considered too young for pro boxing in the United States. He got his first fight in 2015 against Gonzalo Lopez where he won the match via knockout. His second win against Jose Iniguez was also via knockout.
Devin then went on to win fight against opponents like Jorge Edgar Sillas and Roman Melendez. On April 9, 2016, he fought his first match in the US soil against Rafael Vazquez where he emerged victorious via unanimous decision. His next fight was against Jairo Fernandez Vargas where he knocked out that opponent to maintain his 100% record.
The 20-year-old fighter is yet to taste a defeat. So far, in his 20 matches, he won six fights by unanimous decision while thirteen came by knockout. He also became the youngest member of the USA Junior National Boxing Team when he was only 14 years old. He won a bronze medal in Russia and then gold in the Dominic Republic.
