Neymar is a 27-year-old Brazilian soccer player who plays as a left-sided attacker for French club Paris St Germain as well as for the Brazilian national team.

Neymar began his career as a youth with Portuguesa Santista, but later moved to Santos, one of the most famous teams in Brazil. He made his debut for the club in March 2009 when he was brought on for the last 30 minutes of a game against Oeste, which his side won 2–1.
He was a huge success with Santos, the same club with which soccer legend Pele played most of his football. By the age of 20, he scored his 100th goal as a professional football player, against Palmeiras.
Having won six trophies and scored 136 goals in 223 appearances, he moved to Spanish giants Barcelona in a switch reported to have cost the Catalan giants €57.m ($63.5m). An article by the BBC later revealed the true cost of the deal was closer to €84m ($93.5m) but that Santos only received €16.4m ($18.3m) of that.
He won eight trophies in a four-year stint at the Nou Camp, including the 2015 Champions League. However, after 105 goals in 186 appearances, he moved to Paris St Germain for a world-record fee of €222m ($247m).
His time in the French capital has been spoiled by injury, he’s only recently made a comeback this season and his goals have helped fire Paris to the Champions League last 16. bwin Sports reports that PSG have been paired with German side Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 of the prestigious competition. Another interesting challenge for Neymar in his journey to try and get the French champions to the summit of European football.
Neymar is currently coveting a move back to Barcelona and is the subject of constant speculation.
He has scored 61 goals for his country in 101 appearances but is perhaps best known for suffering an injury in their World Cup quarter final with Colombia in 2014. He missed the semi final of the tournament, held in Brazil, and had to watch on as his side were humbled 7-1 by Germany.

According to Goal, Neymar earns €36.8m ($41m) a year with his current club, which works out at over €700k ($779k) a week. His net worth is estimated to be around €110m ($123m), although that figure is rising rapidly with new endorsements and could experience a further spike with another big-money transfer deal.
