Cliff Dixon was an American basketball player known for being the adopted brother of NBA superstar Kevin Durant. He played college basketball at Western Kentucky University.
Cliff Dixon’s Career
Dixon was born on March 17, 1987, in Suitland, Maryland and played his college basketball at Western Kentucky University. He went to University in 2010 but was dismissed from the team one year later after the violation of team rules.
During his time at college, he averaged 4.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, started six games out of 22 games he played. He also played with Brazilian team Vivo/Franca Basqueta Sao Paulo in 2012 and also played for the minor league team Lake Michigan Admirals in 2013.
Dixon was taken by Kevin Durant’s mother Wanda Pratt as a part of a family when he was 16 years old. After that, he formed a close relationship with NBA superstar as a brother. Kevin even mentioned his name during the 2014 MVP speech saying: “You keep me every day. There are days I come home upset after a game or practice and you just brighten my day up. I thank you, guys. This is our trophy too”.
Cliff Dixon Death
On March 21, 2019, Dixon was shot and killed outside of a nightclub as he was leaving his birthday party at SL Lounge. He was still alive when paramedics arrived but as they rushed him to Grady Memorial Hospital, he was dead.
