Gina DeBoer Seau is the ex-wife of late football linebacker Junior Seau. The couple married in 1991 and had three children together. However, they divorced in 2002.
Junior Seau as we know was a linebacker who played for San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins. He was a 10-time All-Pro, 12-time Pro Bowl selection and named to the NFL 1990s All-Decade team. During his 13 seasons for the San Diego Chargers, he helped them to win Super Bowl XXIX. Following his retirement in 2010, he was inducted to the Chargers Hall of Fame and his jersey number 55 was retired.
Unfortunately, Seau committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest at the age of 43. Studies later showed that he suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy; a disease believed to derive from head trauma and can lead to terrible conditions like dementia, rag, and depression.
