De’Andre Hunter is an American college basketball player who plays for the Virginia Cavaliers in the Atlantic Coast Conference. He helped his team to win the 2019 NCAA Tournament.

De’Andre was born to Priscilla and Aaron Hunter Sr. His father passed away when he was 7 years old. He has three siblings: two sisters and a brother named Aaron. His brother Aaron is named after their late father
De’Andre Hunter Career
Hunter was born on December 2, 1997, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He went to Friends’ Central School in Wynnewood. He averaged 21.6 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assist per game as a junior and became Pennsylvania Class AA Player of the year.
In 2016 as a senior Hunter averaged 23.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.0 assist and 2.5 blocks per game. After his brilliant school career, he received offers from NC State & Notre Dame but decided to play for Virginia instead.
During Hunter’s freshman season he scored double figures in 16 games, including in 11 conference games. During a match at 2018 ACC tournament, he broke his wrist which ruled him out to play in the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Without him, Virginia went on to lose in the first round.
After that season, he played brilliantly and was named to All-ACC All-Freshman team, as well as being named the ACC Sixth man of the year. Recently, De’Andre Hunter helped his team to win the 2019 NCAA Tournament. He recorded 27 points and 9 rebounds in the final against Texas Tech.
