Who is Rick Crawford?
Richard Crawford Jr. is an American former stock car racing driver who competed in the Craftsman Truck Series from 1997 to 2009. He is also the former promoter and manager of Mobile International Speedway.
Rick Crawford Career
Born on July 26, 1958, in Alabama, United States, Crawford began his career as a short-track racer in the southeastern United States. From his early stage, he was a champion. In 1989, he won the annual short track Snowball Derby race. In 1981 and 1984, he won the track championship at Five Flags Speedway. In 1981, 1982 and 1984, he won the championship at Mobile International Speedway.
Crawford then moved to the Craftsman Truck Series with his Circle Bar team. He was the runner-up in 1997 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rookie of the Year. Next season, he picked up his first career win at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
2002 proved to be the most successful time of his career. Although he was winless for the season, he had 17 top-ten finishes, a career-high 12 top five finishes, two poles and finished second in the standings behind the champion Mike Bliss. Next year, he then sealed victory at the Florida Dodge Dealers 250 and finished the season seventh in points with 16 top tens and 10 top fives.
In 2004, he was involved in a massive crash at Atlanta Motor Speedway but he finished the season with 9 top tens and 4 top fives and fell to 12th in points.
In the span of two decades in car racing, he holds the record for most starts in the Camping World Truck Series. He raced in 210 consecutive races before missing 2005 Built Ford Tough 225 race due to injuries. After racing, he signed a multi-year contract to be a promoter and manager at Mobile International Speedway in Alabama.

Rick Crawford Prison Sentence
On March 1, 2018, Crawford was arrested in Florida where he was charged for ‘attempted enticement of a minor’. He was arrested and convicted by a jury after a trial in which prosecutors said he agreed to pay $50 to $75 to have a sex with a 12-year-old girl.
On November 26, 2018, Crawford was sentenced to 130 months in federal prison. In addition to that, he will have to serve 10 years of supervised release after his release from prison. He was also fined $5,000.
