Alvin Kamara is an American football running back who plays for the New Orleans Saints of the NFL. He is the first player ever to have 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in his first 20 games.
Early Life
Kamara was born on July 25, 1995, to a Liberian mother. He played in the high school team called Blue Devils football team where he had a lot of success including earning Georgia Mr. Football honors from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He was considered to be a person of high potential in those days and would go on to join the University of Alabama.
However, his stay there was not fruitful and a knee injury resulted in many issues that would keep him away from the starting lineup. He eventually had two transfers, the first one to Hutchinson Community College where he earned a 5-star rating from the Rivals.com and Scout.com recruiting networks. Then, he transferred to the University of Tennessee where he would have a successful campaign.

His consistency landed him among the players who would show the results in every match and this was backed up by his statistics such as his 728 yards rushing and 826 yards receiving was the first 700/700 season by a Saint, third by an NFL rookie, and 11th 700/800 season by any NFL player. Among non-quarterbacks with 100+ carries, his 6.07 yards per rush was the most ever by an NFL rookie.
