Samantha Cerio is an American gymnast and a student from North Carolina. She is currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering of Auburn University.

Samantha was born in 1996 in Huntersville, North Carolina which makes her now 22 years old. She was born to father Michael Cerio and mother Becky Cerio. She also has a brother named Dominick Cerio. Samantha attended South Iredell High School.
Prior to her admission in Auburn, she was a four-time JO National Qualifier with a top 10 AA Finish in three, 2015 JO National Bars Champion, 2 time Region level, and 10 All-Around Champion.
Samantha’s biggest moment came in 2017 when she secured a spot at the 2017 NCAA Championships, competing as an individual on bars. She captured the bars title at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional with a career-high 9.925 earning a spot at nationals. She also scored 9.9 bars on two occasions; vs Arkansas and at the SEC Championship. Due to her performance, she secured All-SEC honors.
Samantha has represented Auburn at the 2018 NCAA Championship on bars. She won a share of the bars title at the NCAA Salt Lake City Regional with a 9.9. Overall she has received several awards and honors including 2018 All-SEC, 2018 SEC Academic Honor Roll, 2017 All-SEC, 2017 SEC Academic Honor Roll and many others.
Recently, she announced her retirement from the sport after breaking both of her legs while trying to stick a blind landing. According to reports, she dislocated both of her knees and broke both legs at the NCAA Regional Semifinal in Baton Rouge. She later wrote on Instagram that was her ‘final night as a gymnast’.

She is currently in a relationship with his longtime friend Trey Wood. Trey is now 28 years old born to Joseph D. Wood Jr and Jenny Vick. He has two half-sisters Ashley and Victoria from his mother’s second marriage to Raymond Vick.
Trey is an Alabama native who studied at Coastal Alabama College and studies Aerospace Engineering at the Auburn University. Trey and Samantha are planning to marry this year.
